30s animated sequence for the Spanish Disney+ production 'Olivia'. This animation serves as a transition between a flashback and the present day in the live-action series.
Depicting the passage of time
The main goal was to represent a flash-forward through a time-lapse animation. To achieve this, I illustrated various characters across different time periods and shifting seasons.
Behind the finished piece
Most of the animation was built in After Effects, where a custom slider controller was linked to all main light properties. This allowed me to transition seamlessly from day to night with total control over the speed and pacing of the lighting changes. The final tree was generated using geometry nodes in Blender 3D and then imported into After Effects, where the entire scene was composited and stylized with a custom color palette.
